Symbitrade is rooted in the realization that just as the symbiosis between trees and mycorrhizal fungi works to mutual benefit in a healthy forest, closer networking and mutual support can also lead to success in the global food trade.

On a regular walk through the forest, Anthony encountered mycorrhizal fungi, which help trees to obtain and distribute nutrients, as a metaphor for the platform:

Anthony Deuel
Founder

The founder Anthony is an agronomist, trained banker, nature lover, draughtsman, a generalist. Thanks to his creativity and multi-talent, he knows how to grasp specific contexts and apply them to other areas. The topic of sustainability has occupied him for many years. The search for solutions to existing problems fulfills him.

Georgios Lampropoulos
Co-Founder

Georgios is Engineering Project Manager and Managing Director of alpha engineering GmbH. Due to his expertise and experience in various team leader functions, he is able to lead and take responsibility for the implementation of the functioning traceability system symbitrace.

Dario Chiozza
Co-Founder

Dario is economist, sommelier and has held various project management positions. Food is his passion, which, combined with his specialist knowledge, makes him the ideal responsible for buyers. Optimized sourcing strategies require innovative solutions, which Dario can deliver.
